I first met Andy through VABF. He offered us help with information about growing onions, when such help was hard to find in our county, back before websites and email. I've always admired Andy's calm gentleness and willingness to listen to all and help everyone. He didn't let differences of lifestyle, appearance or beliefs get in the way of a free exchange of farming ideas. He improved life for so many of us, and is sorely missed. Pam Twin Oaks.
