I had the priviledge of meeting Andy only twice in my life. The second and last time was at the family conference in Danville. The other time was at a field day in Petersburg in July. I was introduced to him by Chris Mullins as looking for a piece of land around Richmond. He did not miss a beat. Andy immediately introduced me to someone he was sure would help me. The sincerity and earnestness with which he took it on will stay with me forever. I wish I had more time to have known such a noble man better. I am sure that he is resting in peace. I wish his family peace and the comfort in the knowledge that their loved one meant so much to so many people who have fond memories of him
